THE YARD WASTE COLLECTION CENTER IS AVAILABLE TO ALL RESIDENTS FOR THE DISPOSAL OF YARD WASTE GENERATED FROM THE PROPERTY THEY RESIDE ON IN WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP.

Washington Township DOES NOT accept yard waste from commercial landscapers, mowers, tree trimmers or contractors.

YARD WASTE ACCEPTED FOR DISPOSAL: Grass; Flower & Shrub Clippings; Shrubs; Leaves; Tree Limbs up to 6 inches in diameter. Christmas Trees are accepted as long as all tinsel and decorations are removed from the tree.

NO NOXIOUS WEEDS: Per Department of Agriculture Guidelines, includes Bradford (Callery) Pear Trees, Ornamental (Ravenna) Yard Grass & Japanese Barberry, See complete list here: PA Dept of Agriculture

HOURS OF OPERATION:

MONDAY thru FRIDAY: 9AM – 4PM.

SATURDAY: Second and Fourth Saturday each month: 9AM – Noon.

CLOSED ON THE FOLLOWING HOLIDAYS: New Years Day; Presidents Day; Good Friday; Memorial Day; July 4th; Labor Day; Columbus Day; Veterans Day; Thanksgiving Day and the Friday after; Christmas Eve Day and Christmas Day .

All bags and containers holding yard waste must be removed from township premises.

Township personnel have the right to reject yard waste not acceptable for disposal.
